My goal in this section is to create an online Orange County Runner's Hall of fame. My goal in creating this Hall of Fame is four fold:

1. To honor the great runners who have thrived in Orange County.

2. To inspire newer runners to stretch for higher goals.

3. To demonstrate through the collected biographies that the road to mastery is not straight, but generally long and winding, with many ups and downs.

4. And finally to help runners learn by example that "Training" is more than just running, "Training" implies concrete goals and a plan to achieve them.

I envision this to be a great resource of knowledge and inspiration for runners and coaches, but I can't create it without your help. Nominating candidates and researching their qualifications would be more than a full time job.

To begin with I propose we consider candidates in three categories:

High School Track/Cross Country

Adult Track and Roads Up to The Marathon

Ultra Runners

If the response is strong, I will further subdivide these categories. What I need from you is nominations to include a biography of the runner's development, changes in training philosophy, year by year improvement, key races, and any documentation you can provide to support these details.
