Arrival Paris de Gaulle 8:40 A.M.
After clearing customs taxis will wisk us to our luxurious hotel for check-in.
Walking tour of Paris

On our walking tour of Paris, we will first have lunch at a brassiere near the Arc de Triomphe. After lunch we will climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to enjoy a commanding view of Paris. From there we will depart on our walking tour of Paris
focusing on the geometric gardens of the Tuileries. The rest of the day will be free time in Paris.

April 5
Included Guided sightseeing of Paris
We will admire the Notre Dame's stained glass windows and seemingly
weightless vaulted ceilings. The cathedral may not be France's oldest
or largest cathederal, but in terms of beauty and architectural harmony,
it has few peers. Later we will visit the un-paralleled Eiffel Tower where
photo opportunities abound. Finally we will visit the Paris Marathon Expo
where we will collect our Breakfast Run and Paris Marathon bib numbers.
April 6 Morning
We will participate in the Paris Marathon 6 KM Breakfast Run. A colored
bib will be given to you at the same time as the Marathon Bib in the
Marathon Expo village.
Anyone not entered in the Marathon who wishes to accompany us can register
for a small fee at the Marathon Expo or in the starting area on Saturday
morning.
The 6KM course will run on the streets of the French capital and end
on Avenue Foch. There will be tea, coffee, water, bananas, cereal and
etc. provided in the finishline area. Only those people wearing the
special bibs will have access to the finish area and the breakfast.
Free Afternoon in Paris
Paris Marathon Pasta Party
The pasta party will be offered to all participants from 4 to 8 PM.

April 7
Participate in the 26th running of the Paris Marathon.
After the race and a warm shower we will regroup for a late afternoon Post Race Celebration and Champagne Party hosted by John and Gail Loeschhorn.
After the party we will enjoy a free evening in Paris.
April 8
Is free time in Paris, enjoy the extra free time to explore the city at your leisure.
In the evening we will enjoy dinner on the River Seine as we float past the wonders of Paris.
April 9
We Journey to Monet's Gardens in Giverny
Today we will visit the estate where painter Claude Monet lived from
1883 until his death in 1926. The grounds, including his pink and green
house, are open to the public as a museum. View the workspace in which
he fostered his great artistic inspiration; then absorb the intricate
palette of colors that he so magically depicted in paintings such as
the Water Lilies series as you stroll through the surrounding gardens.
April is said to be one of the best times of year to visit these colorful
gardens.
April 10
We visit Versailles
Today we will step back into le grand siècle as we experience
the opulence of Versailles. This is opulance pressed to the highest
level, we won't need to be reminded that we are in the world's grandest
palace. During the reine of Louis XIV there were 20, 000 noblemen, servants
and hangerson living here with him. We will tour the Royal Apartments,
the historic Hall of Mirrors, and the elegantly landscaped gardens.

April 11
We are on our way to the Champagne district of France
Today, we will board the train for Reims, the Champagne Capital of the World. We will tour the limestone caverns where Champagne is pampered, aged and bottled.
April 12
Visit to the Louvre

In the morning we will visit the Louvre featuring one of the world's greatest
art collections. We will enter the museum through the I.M. Pei's glass
pyramid. The Louvre's extraordinary collections encompass paintings, drawings,
antiquities, sculpture, furniture, coins and jewelry, the quality and
varity are overwhelming.
April 12
Visit to the Musée d'Orsay
After lunch we will visit one of Paris' newest museums, the Musée d'Orsay.
The Musée d'Orsay contains a strikiing selection of 19th-century
European art. The museum showcases collections of the works of Monet,
Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, van Gogh, and Rodin.
April 13
We will travel to the airport for our flight home. Departing Charles de Gaulle at 11:45 A.M. and arriving at John Wayne at 8:45 P.M. the same day.
